Teacher, School and District Level Leader

As a First-Grade Inclusion and General Education Teacher at Richmond City Public Schools, I served as the school's History Lead (2024-25), Sunshine Committee Founder and Leader (2025-present), Pep Club Founder and Faculty Sponsor, PBIS piloting member/intern leader for L. Brown Middle School  (2025-26), Richmond City Public Schools Science Grade 1 Academic Architech (2026-27)

2013 - 2024

During my time as a First Grade Teacher in Manassas City, I served as a Before- and After-School SOL Teacher for third- and fourth-grade students from 2017 to 2019. From 2014 to 2017, I was the Summer School Teacher for rising second-, third-, and fourth-grade students.  I filled the First-Grade Social Studies Curriculum Writer position for schools in Manassas City, Virginia, during the summers of 2015 and 2016.

1998 - 2012

Starting my career in public education, I worked as a teacher and leader in the Head Start Program, now part of Henrico County's blended Federal Programs Preschool. In addition to teaching, I served as a grade-level chair, grade-level technology chair, teacher mentor,  student mentor, and Girl Scout troop leader. I worked on a team of three teachers to manage a three-year grant for Family Literacy.
